The Rogue’s Harbor Inn has been serving hearty fare, strong spirits and welcoming over night guests since 1830. Originally, the inn catered to stage coach passengers traveling from Auburn to Ithaca, NY.
In 1991 the current owner, Eileen Stout, a Cornell graduate and designer, purchased the Inn and began carefully restoring it. Today, the Inn caters to guests from all over the world visiting Cornell University, Ithaca College & Wells College or wanderers exploring the Finger Lakes, wineries and other unique nearby attractions.
Located on the Cayuga Wine Trail and the Cayuga Scenic Byway the Rogue’s Harbor Inn serves dinner and cocktails to locals and travelers alike year round every night.
The dining rooms and pub still maintain their old world charm with working fireplaces, detailed woodwork, wainscoted ceilings and antique photos and decor. Entrees like slow roasted prime rib, Atlantic Salmon, Scallops Solera, Chicken Riggies and many other original dishes are made with NYS ingredients and accompanied by an extensive NYS wine list and 12 local & micro brewed beers on draught.
Over night guests enjoy seven spacious rooms recently restored with a graceful blend of period antiques like marble topped dressers, wrought iron beds, and signed artwork, along with modern conveniences like air conditioning, television, sound proofing, private baths, and wireless internet. In rooms once occupied by William Henry Seward, Cardinal Spellman and Grace Miller White, the writer who used the Inn as the setting for one of her many novels, “Judy of Rogue’s Harbor,” guests can relax with modern comforts and still enjoy the original woodwork and pressed tin ceilings once admired by some famous guests of yesteryear.
